I read a post somewhere else saying that she didn't apply for EAD and I131 and because of that her case got approved in three month. It might be other reasons that her case moved faster but I just thought I'd try that out. If it doesn't work out I guess it's fine to not have a job for five months until the greencard comes.

There's no such thing. The green card will depend on the local field office waiting time. And for some of them, the wait can be about 2 years, like Seattle and NYC. There's no guarantee that your green card interview will come in 5 months. I'm waiting since September last year.

Like HRQX said, when you get your NOA 1, apply for them. It won't affect at all the AOS timeline.

The cases are separated after the initial lockbox stage. Thus, not filing them doesn't positively or negatively affect I-485 processing. I recommend to file them after you receive the paper I-485 receipt notice by mail. They will still be free to file with a photocopy of that receipt notice.

Thanks for the information! Good to know it's still free to apply. I guess I'll send it out once I got my Notice in mail.

Thanks! I'll definately apply for EAD soon.

Just wondering do most people wait this long now? If I want to get a 10-year green card later, do I have to wait 2 years from the moment I got the 2-year green card? Because that seems to be three years now (1 year waiting + 2 years with the greencard).

If you get your green card before completing 2 years of marriage, you will receive a 2 years conditional green card. After 2 years, you will have to do ROC, which can take another 2/3 years.

You can chat with Emma and type 'Chat with a live agent'

How much was the waiting time when you called USCIS to speak to the agent?

Actually, it took me only about 5 minutes to get to the agent. It put me at number 13 on queue, them moved me to number 19, which was pretty funny, going back on the queue. But then all of a sudden I got the live agent.

Thanks. Yeah i was also able to get the receipt numbers over the phone. For some reasons all my 4 receipt numbers starts with MSC. I haven't received any text/email notifications yet but the agent told me that USCIS sent mail notices on Aug 12th so i should expect to get it soon.

But then USCIS only shows processing time for other centers not for MSC right on their page? https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Check again, but for I-765 and I-131. National Benefits Center is where your I-765 and I-131 will be adjudicated.

For I-485 and I-130, they will eventually send it to your Local Field Office. But for I-130, that link doesn't provide info for I-130 in AOS cases. Just the general knowledge that I-485 can't be adjudicated before I-130 approval; most likely they'll adjudicate them together.
