Since you haven't filed yet, read the following: "Applicants and petitioners whose applications or petitions are postmarked on or after July 29, 2020, should not include the Form I-944 or provide information about the receipt of public benefits on Form I-485, Form I-129, or Form I-539/I-539A." https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/public-charge/injunction-of-the-inadmissibility-on-public-charge-grounds-final-rule

See above info from USCIS.

For those that already filed: "As long as the July 29, 2020, SDNY decision is in effect, USCIS will apply the 1999 public charge guidance"

Great Info. If nothing else, It should speed up the process. Let's hope we all get our green cards before public charge rule comes back

Wow congrats @Aeiou1357! Did anyone use USPS when they sent their AOS packets off? I sent my AOS packet with USPS on July 24th and when I tracked it, the status is "In-Transit". It will delivered to the Post Office PO Box on July 27th but I don't think anyone picked it up yet. Have anyone else has this happened to them?

I sent mine via usps priority mail on July 18, it was supposed to arrive on the 21, but didn’t get delivered until the 22. I think USPS was delayed with delivery, but it still got there.

Woo hoo, we should have identical timelines😎! Have you heard anything yet? I can imagine with everything happening that it would take longer than usual but I can’t help getting antsy. Even my husband (who is way too laid back for his own good about this process🙄) has been checking his credit card for the charge and wondering when it will come out.

keep us updated if you hear anything and I’ll be sure to do the same 😊

It took mine over three weeks for them to cash the cheque. Has your cheque cashed or credit card been charged yet?
