I sent my package out on 7/6, and it was received on 7/8. Still no movement (check hasn’t been cashed, no texts or emails). Hopefully, something will happen soon. Getting slightly antsy.

Hi July filers.

Joining you as I am submitting my entire AOS packet for the FOURTH TIME. I had 3 rejections stating incorrect fees. Spoke with Tier 2 agent yesterday who confirmed $1225 was indeed the correct fee and my packets should not have been returned. (Originally submitted in MARCH, then MAY, then JUNE)

Hoping 4th time is the charm?!

Hoping 4th time is the charm for you too!

I did pay 100$ for the rushed service, so I can get the report next week

Since you haven't filed yet, read the following: "Applicants and petitioners whose applications or petitions are postmarked on or after July 29, 2020, should not include the Form I-944 or provide information about the receipt of public benefits on Form I-485, Form I-129, or Form I-539/I-539A." https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/public-charge/injunction-of-the-inadmissibility-on-public-charge-grounds-final-rule

We ordered the equivalency evaluation on a Thursday with rush delivery and according to tracking email we just got, it’s expected to be here tomorrow (Wednesday) from Florida to California.

See above info from USCIS.

For those that already filed: "As long as the July 29, 2020, SDNY decision is in effect, USCIS will apply the 1999 public charge guidance"

For those of us that submitted the i944, they aren’t taking that into consideration any more?

Assuming the injunction is still in effect when they adjudicate the I-485, then they won't consider the I-944.

I would have loved to have heard this news  2 months ago when I started to put the package together lol oh well, this should make it a lot easier for everyone applying going forward seeing as they don’t need to submit the form.

Omg I literally just completed the i944 this morning and was going to ship it out this afternoon. Wow, thank you so much for the heads up @HRQX I’m wondering if I should still just include it?

It's up to you: "In the interim, USCIS will not reject any Form I-485 on the basis of the inclusion or exclusion of Form I-944"

This caught me off guard and I want to make sure I am comprehending USCIS’s new information all correctly. As of July 29, the only forms that are now required to adjust status are I-864 and I-485, correct?

That is correct.

Reminder that I-765 and I-131 are optional but highly recommended.

Oh we are definitely concurrently filing. Thanks for tagging me in the previous post, I really appreciate it! I could have saved a tree without printing the I-944 form and all the wonderful supporting documents. Oh well.

Omg is this serious. I worked so hard to complete i944 and spent 300 USD for the equivalency. But they did the right thing making this decision though because we're in pandemic. Thanks for this info!
