I have stayed at some of the SOGO hotels for the night, they run about 30 to 40 dollars per night

That was then.  This is now.  Special times demand special pricing.

YMMV

Have you seen a SOGO hotel and stayed in one?

I am not sure why you want to debate this.   I am not defending opportunistic pricing.

YMMV

He can't come unless you enter the Philippines with him.  Will you be able to leave Philippines and meet him in another country and then fly back to Philippines with him?

Hi. Ive already asked the immigration here about this. He is allowed entry because he is my spouse, he only has to show a copy of our marriage certificate

I have been trying to get to Philippines since March, My wife is from Philippines, I highly doubt they would let me in if I brought my marriage certificate.  I highly doubt he would even be allowed on the plane in USA to go to Philippines.

They are all over Cebu as well.  I thought that was your area you were familiar with.

Each large city like Manila, Cebu, Davao in Philippines has it pros and cons.  I have realized it better to just enjoy them, and like you one time I wasn't a fan of Manila but that has changed.  You can put me anywhere in Philippines and I can find the good places to visit and things to do and enjoy them.  I have made numerous trips to Cebu and Davao, all good places for me.  Fun country to explore

So all he has to do is show a marriage certificate you say

So once he shows that marriage certificate are you that well known in the Philippines and abroad that the boarding agents at the ticket counters in USA know whom you are? How does he prove that you are a Philippines citizen?  Will he have you passport in his and to show?  You do know how easy it is to forge a marriage certificate.

The more I think about this the more it doesn't make sense. What if someone was married twice to two different girls from Philippines, can he show either marriage certificate?

I am pretty sure you would have to have the Philippines citizen with you to enter plane on USA.  I have read about former citizens of Philippines who haven't done their dual citizenship having to get off plane in USA recently due to not being able to get clearance form PHilippines Immigration to travel to PI.

As you have said theyre dont have dual citizenship. Have you tried booking a ticket and being barred from entering the philippines yourself? I suggest you go to the immigration helpline ph on facebook to ask and check for yourself. Of course there are certain guidelines you have to follow if youre wife does not live in metro manila, every province here has different rules and laws for accepting certain people. I asked them myself and they said, he just needs to bring our marriage certificate and a photocopy of my passport, present it upon arrival. We got married in the philippines, we have an NSO copy of our marriage certificate, the PH government can spot if its fake or not. I dont think they care so much if youre married to two filipinas, as long as youre married to one, thats not a question here really. Here is the screenshot of the message they sent to me.
