Hello. I applied and was approved for replacement of my SSC when I got my EAD based on AOS. It has 'VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION'.

is there a deadline to apply for another replacement to the unrestricted SSC since now that I have the 10 year PR card? When should I go to the SS office and do this task?

i know they are offering in person limited services. Am I able to do this in person or through mail?

That's a question only your local SS office is able to answer. Call them and ask how they're handling. They will most likely tell you to mail your green card and the form to get a new card without the wording on top.

Yes. All documents submitted to the SSA, even by mail, must be originals. I just had to submit my original EAD card to get my name changed on my SSC.

Let me call them and see what they say. I am not in a hurry and I think it is risky to send in the original PR card (it might get lost). I will wait till the office is doing that service, thanks.

Anyone know if the local SS office is accepting in person service?

Again, you need to call them and ask. People have sent their naturalization certificate to update their ssc and received it back fine.

Do I fill out the same SS-5 form again and submit to my local SSA in person along with my SS Card? What do I tell the staff?
