Anyone else sent their i-129f to Dallas lately?

Ok so: I sent my form i-129f to the Dallas lockbox about  a month ago, and although I know it's arrived (as per tracking info) I haven't had any notice that they've started processing it.

My understanding is that while most i-129 forms aren't being processed, ones that pertain to the K-1 still are. Has anyone else sent their i-129f to Dallas lately? If so, how's your experience gone so far?

Thanks all!

Thanks all!

All I-129F petitions are sent to the lockbox, then sent to the California Service Center for processing.

Not sure where you got the info about other I-129 forms not being processed?  I-129Fs are definitely not being prioritized over other forms.  USCIS is working on all petitions.  Expect a significant slowdown with the furlough announcement.

Btw, Kia Ora!

USCIS is still processing applications whether K-1's or CR-1's. The fact that tracking shows your package has arrived means you are in the line for processing. IO's are working from home in most cases and forms and cases are being process. This is a lengthy process and if you are concerned with the first piece of mail you have submitted you are going to have an extremely disappointed timeline.

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey

While what you say maybe true,  the reality of the situation for the poster is that they are not yet officially in line, because the lockbox has not yet processed the submission and assigneda case number.   IOs working from home has not yet impacted this case.

YMMV
