Who's "us"?

 

Two things:

 

1) In retrospect, it would've been cool if Republicans/conservatives/Bush supporters then didn't #### all over people opposing the Iraq war to begin with, especially us independents, but also moderates, and attacked the arguments they clearly couldn't win, such as the complete lack of WMD, the made-up yellowcake docs, the outing of Wilson's wife (very illegal), and the efforts made by Republicans, many of whom are still in the House, like Sensenbrenner, to force any oversight of Iraq and impeachment for the war into the Congressional basement away from TV cameras. Bush was an absolute con from the start with his bull#### about being a compassionate conservative, diplomat, and fiscally responsible conservative.

 

Eventually voters in the US are going to have to come to grips with the fact that all these terrible prior Presidents (and Bush isn't the only one) are the result of erroneous voter mentality. They need to get out of cheerleader mentality and into "boss" mentality. They need to stop pretending the awful politicians aren't just awful by themselves, they get voted in by the populace, they're a reflection of the populace. Personal responsibility and abandoning this party fanaticism would be an awesome start.

 

2) Neocons were very visibly against Trump in 2016, throwing huge fits about him and talking up Hillary, they never mattered in the election to any party or candidate. 2020 is no different. Their role right now on the political discourse is making easy money off the Democrats/left and anyone else who has TDS, and partnering with the media while they reminisce about the days they actually mattered. Effectively, pond scum, and nothing to worry about.

The media right now are the only one using neocons for anything, but it's a mutual swampy relationship, and for neocons, their benefit is selling TDS, books, etc. 

 

The left do not care about neocons beyond the confirmation bias they provide about Trump (this type wouldn't vote for Trump anyways), and the left who were even considering Trump to begin with (e.g. if the Dems screw over Bernie again, which happened) hate neocons' guts as much as I do. Neocons are highly overrated.

You'll see more of him over the coming months. The only people who see any use of him are the neocons, who are either out of power, or are trying their best to hide that they're neocons (so overall, irrelevant), and of course the Dems and media. So the only places you'll see him are on MSNBC/CNN/NYT/WaPo/etc, or in a shoddy House committee hearing telling us how much he hates the big bad orange man.

In the swamp thing TDS flowchart (for those actually involved with Trump), one first gets in the administration and fails to convince Trump to give them their way, or doesn't get in the administration at all, then after a public spectacle of firing/quitting (or throwing a tantrum about not getting in), writes a book, followed by media appearances and/or appearances before a Schiff/Nadler committee to talk about their feelings. It's like watching a deranged therapy session for entitled elites.
