I filled N-400 online on may 28th. USCIS Sent me a letter on September 4 stating that they will reuse my biometrics (The ones they took back in february 2017 when I removed Conditions).

I got the feeling in the next 2 or 3 weeks they are gonna send me a letter for the interview, so I am studying at a good pace.

That is great news, wow im surprised they even went far back for those Biometrics, usually they expire 15months after they've been ran. That is amazing I pray you get it sooner to get the ball rolling.

I think they already have all our info. They check everything to make sure we dont have felonies in our records, after that they decide to use the old biometrics. I think that if they find something bad in our records they make you go to a biometric center to get your fingerprints, picture, etc. Thank you, I will be praying too for all of us !

about 6 months ago I took my military test and the location was a federal building they did not take my fingerprints because they already had them so they just ran them again, I hope they can find that my background was ran and they use it because it was an FBI background check and the Military doesnt play with that.

That's good, so they already have your FBI background, that's enough I would say.

One of the posters on this forum  recently stated that their biometric was reused from the time it was taken (6 years back) at an embassy outside the US . It's sad that there isn't a standardized operating protocol  (or transparency for that matter) in this matter.

It seems to be completely random. I saws someone who had their biometrics done years ago and they got a notice that it will be reused. I wonder if it's connected at all to nationality?

Hi guys!

I'm so happy i got my biometrics scheduled today. I don't know when it will be yet until i see the the actual mail in my mailbox. I noticed the older uscis website updates faster and updated my case in the morning while the newer one updated my case in the evening.

Anyway this thread is an interesting thread.

Great news!

Thanks millefleur! I got the appointment letter today in my documents section in my mail for october 10. But i might have to expedite it to be earlier. We leave where we are by the end of oct. And that means if they do biometrics on oct 10 it still might take awhile like a few weeks.

True..

To anyone waiting for movement call USCIS... the first officer will basically tell you to be patient.. then say the words 'I'd like to speak to a Tier 2 Officer'

That person has more information and can write a note of inquiry to your local office.. a call to action so to speak...

There may or may not be reasons for the delay based on case load but the Tier 2 officer said once the notice is put in to the field office to give it about 3 weeks.. and if there is still no action to call back...

Like all things it depends who you get on the phone and how polite you are... but the Tier 2 officers are quite helpful..
