I filed April 15 as well, I was told that I should receive a Biometrics notice 90 days from the moment the ASC in my location opened which was July 20th, it will 90 days will be next week on Tuesday. They said if I dont receive anything by then, then I should give them a call and have them open a ticket to request an appointment (Tip: make sure you ask for a Tier 2 Officer, they will be able to assist you better) So far Denver is moving quiet fast, they are already processing October 2019. you should be hearing from them soon.

I have already completed my biometrics in February before the lockdown, but It doesn't make sense to me that people have to know that they have to ask for someone above in order to get an answer. It should be that either the person on the line gives you an answer or does not or if there are any alternatives just transfer you to the person who may give you more information. There shouldn't be such secrecy and codes. Not everyone is on forums to check what is the "code or password" to get a reasonable answer when calling USCIS.

Applied on May 23- Field Office - Newark, NJ  - No biometric appointment so far.

When I checked with USCIS last month, the agent asked me to call back today (Oct 13th) as it would mark 90 days since the field office reopened. and it would enable me to open a ticket with them to setup an appointment.

When I spoke today, the agent said there was no way to setup an appointment- you have to wait in line. Also it appears biometric cases are backed up - and USCIS is hoping to get those appointments out by Oct 27th.

Has anyone been successful in getting a service ticket for a first-time biometric appointment  so far?

Any update on your biometrics?

Did you file a service request?

I have not yet..the tier 1 customer representative was basically saying there isn't anything that can be done because mine is not a 'reschedule' . The service request is applicable (apparently) to cases where an appointment was rescheduled owing to covid related  office closures.

It doesn't matter what the first officer says... ask for a tier 2 officer. If they won't, call back and try again with a different officer.

The tier 1 officers don't really do much but read from your file.

So ask for the Tier 2 as soon as the Tier 1 picks up?

After jumping through the Interactive voice response hoops (whew!)- I got to speak with USCIS Tier 1 this morning who said that effective Monday (10/19) , they are no longer connecting customers to Tier 2 representatives. So there goes that.

As far as the biometrics goes, they stuck to the same script- 'you are in line to be scheduled. You cannot submit a service ticket for this purpose.' She did mention that application processing is going on in parallel as she could see the annotations being made to the case.

Actually I just spoke to a tier 2 officer who Submitted a service request ticket to my local ASC for my Biometrics because 90 days have past without any update. I believe that is what they are being told told to say, but sometimes when calling you may already be speaking with a tier 2 officer without even knowing. Also believe it or not try your best to sound as polite and friendly as possible because it does play a big role when wanting good results.

Did they tell you to wait 30 days then?
