True..

To anyone waiting for movement call USCIS... the first officer will basically tell you to be patient.. then say the words 'I'd like to speak to a Tier 2 Officer'

That person has more information and can write a note of inquiry to your local office.. a call to action so to speak...

There may or may not be reasons for the delay based on case load but the Tier 2 officer said once the notice is put in to the field office to give it about 3 weeks.. and if there is still no action to call back...

Like all things it depends who you get on the phone and how polite you are... but the Tier 2 officers are quite helpful..

I am still waiting for my biometrics.. I had already contacted them but still no movement😭

Just Spoke to a tier 2 agent and I was told that theyre waiting on my Biometrics to be processed, I told her I have received a notice and she said that Biometric notices are being sent out 90days from the date the office was re-opened so in my case I should receive a notice on Biometrics by October 20th, she said if nothing happens call back.

Be sure if you guys do reach a tier 2 agent to ask if they can send in a ticket to your local office... (they can)

Applied on May 23- Field Office - Newark, NJ  - No biometric appointment so far.

When I checked with USCIS last month, the agent asked me to call back today (Oct 13th) as it would mark 90 days since the field office reopened. and it would enable me to open a ticket with them to setup an appointment.

When I spoke today, the agent said there was no way to setup an appointment- you have to wait in line. Also it appears biometric cases are backed up - and USCIS is hoping to get those appointments out by Oct 27th.

Has anyone been successful in getting a service ticket for a first-time biometric appointment  so far?

There is really nothing you can do unfortunately. You are in a queue to be scheduled. Some Application Support Centers are busier than others, and with the March/April Covid backlogs and capacity limits in center, it will be a longer process than normal. Filing a service request- will notify the ASC that your appointment has not been assigned yet which they are already well aware of.. It will not jump you ahead of the queue as everyone is waiting a lot longer than normal. I suggest just continue waiting it out. As most of the March and April filers have started getting their appointments in August/September. I would think you should be soon since you are a May filer.

I filed on April 15 and no biometrics yet. I sent a message to USCIS and I hope to receive some news soon.

I filed April 15 as well, I was told that I should receive a Biometrics notice 90 days from the moment the ASC in my location opened which was July 20th, it will 90 days will be next week on Tuesday. They said if I dont receive anything by then, then I should give them a call and have them open a ticket to request an appointment (Tip: make sure you ask for a Tier 2 Officer, they will be able to assist you better) So far Denver is moving quiet fast, they are already processing October 2019. you should be hearing from them soon.

Thank you! I will wait a few more days to see if they respond to my message and if they don't, I'll call and ask for a Tier 2 officer. I appreciate it.

Yup it’s unfortunate. What state/city are you located? As the backlog is dependent location as some august filers have received their biometrics

I'm in Denver, CO. The processing times here are not that long, but I think they haven't sent my case to the local ASC.
