No one likes waiting, but if you get yourself familiarized with the process and processing time for your service center, it will help.  A lot of people are still waiting for approvals who filed last year.

Your patience will definitely be tested during this process. If you have been married less than 2 years when your spouse enters you will have to apply for Removal of Conditions (ROC) on the green card (GC) After 2 years of residency. I assume though due to the pandemic there may be a lot of spousal cases where that will be skipped and they will get a 10 year GC. Then after ROC, if you need to do that, citizenship application is next. This process helps with patience and detailedness. Hope you hear soon.

Not sure where you heard this, but ROC is required for all CR-1 spouses, to remove conditions.  You may be referring to the interview for ROC, which is often skipped these days if the documents submitted are sufficient and it's a strong case.

I did not hear this anywhere. It was an assumption based on the fact that some marriages may hit the 2 year mark during the pandemic and upon entry the immigrant will get a 10 year green card based on this fact.

Sorry, I misunderstood your comment.  Yes you are correct, it is likely because of delays related to the virus that many spousal visa holders will enter the US after 2 years of marriage and get an IR-1 so ROC is not necessary, one bright side of the delays right now.
