Kind of sad, but really shows the anarchist/Marxist strategy of these protestors.  The funny thing is that if any of these protesters need Fire or EMS services, they will get it.

Virginia Beach firefighters were “pushed and kicked” Monday night as they attempted to treat a man gravely injured in a motorcycle crash near the city’s Oceanfront, officials said.

Some in the crowd who gathered at the scene then followed an ambulance to a hospital, where they “began to jump on, kick and hit multiple EMS vehicles” parked outside, according to a fire department daily briefing filed afterwards. The violence, which a Virginia Beach EMS spokesman said damaged one vehicle, prompted Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital to lock down its emergency room to visitors for several hours.

Terrorists/rioters*, not protesters. It's starting to resemble a war zone with these tactics and needs to be treated as such. Honestly, if there were any leaders of the GOP, they'd declare emergencies and stamp this stuff out now. GOP are looking completely ineffectual and paralyzed, which isn't exactly a good look democratically (note how the wretched Bush was re-elected by *looking* tough, people flock to stronger leadership regardless of the politics surrounding it, and right now the GOP look weak as hell, only aiding demoralization, which is very bad for turnout), never mind in a situation where people don't give two figs about the law and wouldn't mind pulling this kind of stuff at, say, any given polling place. People are so caught up in momentary politics, not even thinking about what November is going to look like.
