I think it is safe to expect this will only happen next year. There is some backlog and clearly the embassy isn't scheduling interviews how we expected it would happen, and it is almost mid October. I've reset my mindset to expect this to pick up in January.

How is January any different from October in terms of COVID?  We won't have mass vaccinations by January.

I guess our friends mean, which I am in the same view, is to push the expectations from October to maybe January by which time the backlogs will have gone down and interviews are happening as prompt as in the past. Correct? @Kenyan Couple ? Nothing to do with COVID-19 I suppose

Yes yes I heard about the Lufthansa flights. That's good news..I flew with them to Nairobi actually. Would have been nice going directly to Mombasa. Have fun. I miss Kenya already

Exactly what I mean. Time to put this process out of my mind for now (which is very sad and heartbreaking as some have been apart from families for years now) and hope that in January the interviews will be happening as before.

Chicago-Dubai- Nairobi for me on 11th Dec
