Email them Babito. The sooner the better. Attach the NVC appointment letter. Call them too and final option is to walk in if all fails. The last option doesn’t work but it won’t hurt to try.

Hi everyone, does anyone know how long it takes the embassy to send passport to pickup location?

From the time the website says visa is issued, it takes 1-2 days for the passport to show up

Oh, thanks for your response.

I have been checking the website  every hour, everyday and it still hasn’t show issued but the updated date changes everyday.

The updated date changes means it's been processed, you're almost there.

It's been a while since I was here. It's now 2 months in the States. Got my SS like a month ago still waiting for the green card. Anyone else still waiting??

Hubby got here about 2 weeks now. He was told the green card would be sent within 90 days. So you should get it in time. But for us the SS hasn’t been sent yet. How long did it take you? They told us to wait a month.

I’m thinking of going to the pickup location tomorrow or Saturday even though I haven’t gotten any email yet from the embassy.

When we got our son US passport, we already picked it up before we got an email from the embassy  a day after that it was ready for pickup.

I feel like my online case system is messed up because I was in administrative processing for 90 days after my interview then had to have a second medicals which too a little past 8 weeks and now I was asked to send my passport to the embassy which has been delivered few days ago and my case still shows refused on ceac website and it was updated everyday this week except today.

It’s almost 3 years now since we started this process and it has been one hell of a ride.

Glad ur hubby got here safe. Yeees I was told the same within 90 days, was checking whether anyone got theirs; guess the wait continues. SS came on the 3rd week.

Hi @MercyDom I know the feeling I've been there. The everyday date updates to your case is a good thing shows they're working on your case as I mentioned earlier. My guess is wait for the email that has the tracking number so that you can track it now in real time until it gets to your DHL location. Considering today is Thursday the day is already over, and we're going into the weekend. You'll probably get the passport on Monday or Tuesday latest. You're on the finish line usichoke, remember where you're come from is even further.

Same here, still waiting for GC. SS came in 5 days. But that does not affect anything.

Thank you ShuJosh. This is good to know. GC can wait since they gave him that temporary one. And SS’s 3 weeks wait time is not so bad. Thank you. 
 

NB/ MercyDom, call them or see if you can talk to someone at the embassy. The mailing should have taken at least 24-48 hrs. Check the DHL portal they provided. Also check your junk mail. I also believe that going to the DHL office to check for yourself after all fails doesn’t hurt. You are done with IOM which was the most pain for many. You are almost there!

 

Oh one more thing I forgot to mention that hubby just told me to inform you. The embassy sends docs only on Fridays in bulk for the week they worked on to save on time and money. So hopefully you should get yours on Monday.

Apparently getting a learner's permit for driving is not possible without GC😪
