I sent my papers on 6/19 and on 6/30 I received notice that they had received it. Took extra long because I didn't send it express, to save a couple dollars...

I haven't heard anything new since July 24th. Believe this is perfectly normal for immigration processes

this actually is good since you already got finger print collect and the re-entry permit is valid from the date approved. my mail was delivered 2 weeks ago and I am still wait for receipt number. the statistics shows it takes around 20 days from delivery to receipt. I guess may in another week.

Thanks. on average it takes 20 days to get receipt number. You should get receipt number soon.

Nothing on my end.

Don't need it as we're back in the US now... Still gonna call USCIS and make sure they send it to me here instead of overseas.

Thanks for the update. I did receive the receipt notice four weeks after mail delivered. On the notice, it says "if we determine you must submit biometrics, we will mail you a biometric appointment notice...". Does your notice also has this? Do you know how to figure out whether biometrics is needed or not? Thanks and happy thanksgiving!

I left my biometrics in July, the first day the local office opened after the shutdown.

Here's an update:

My application was approved as of 01/07/2021, and the USCIS received it on 06/25/2020.

So somewhat of a timeline.

 

Now the bad part is that it will get sent to the consulate/embassy back home in Sweden. And I'm already here in the US.

Trying to call the USCIS and get through to someone isn't easy. Not sure if I should just call the Embassy...

Any tips?

Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

It has been 3 weeks but no news about my appointment.

 

Is this normal? Should I receive an appointment by when?

It looks like they reused already captured biometrics instead of scheduling an appointment.
