I spoke to the Manila embassy today. She said they have NO appointments available for june, july, aug, and the 1st two weeks of sept. They will not mail out our packet 4 until the appointments are available and the backlog is gone.

She said we might get an end of sept appointment and maybe the packet 4 in one month. My papers arrived june 4th.

BIG delays..............BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that is correct as many of us have appointments already for those months. Or do you mean that there aren't anymore appointments left? Ours is on August 3rd. I have their web site printout showing our medical exam and interview dates.

Correct you "HAVE" your appointment. Im talking about all future appointments. My i129f arrived june 4 and I was told there are NO appointments for 2.5 months and they are so backlogged they are NOT mailing packet4's out. They told me she might get a packet4 in 1-1.5 months from now. Our paperwork has been there for 2.5 weeks.

Sorry to hear about that. This whole process is slow enough and I feel for you guys!!! Just hang in there as there is no way to make them move faster.

Our papers also arrived on the 4th of June at the Embassy, and how come, I already have my medical and interview dates (taken from the embassy visa appointment website).

Don't tell me, this is just a false alarm. I already booked our tickets.

I would not worry Island Princess, since we already have our medical and interview dates assigned. I think she is talking about those that have their petition in Manila, but were yet to be given an appointment date,or medical. I would not worry about it.

Well now Im totally confused.

Why would two papers arriving the same day be 2 months apart on interview and medical appointments? This just doesnt make any sense? Unless you got into some bulk appointment "group" and I missed it.

This is so frustrating. Can anyone chime in here and help me understand this?

Wow, Manila is just over-loaded, they need to get more help. They are doing over 7600 K type visas a year to say nothing of all the other types. I hope you get an interview date in September! Good luck

3 or 4 months is the average waitng time for an interview in Manila at this point in time. This is nothing new. Manila is the 2nd busiest embassy in the world. We waited 3.5 months to get our interview from the time Manila got our file and that was faster than most. Most people around us waited more like 4 months. Hang in there your turn will come. ;)

]DITTO!

Manila always says they are backlogged and always are. b]

Nothing much you can do but "Hurry up and wait" like everyone does.

You may be surprised and get your appointment before you expect.

Just have "all your ducks in a row "and be ready to fire away!!

Epiphany, you are really just causing panic for no reason, everyone waits from 3-4 months , after the embassy receives there information.
