My mother will have her Naturalization interview soon. She applied as a Green Card holder married to an American. Does this mean my father has to go with her to the interview? I initially wanted to take him and myself but the new rules say only one immediate family member can enter the office along with the applicant.

Question. Do I have to bring my spouse? Because there is nothing on the letter for my interview to say I should, and I’d rather not drag him along especially if they won’t let him in anyway.

We’ve been married 36 years so it’s not like we aren’t way over the five year rule.

No you can go alone just fine!

What new rules? Did it say that one the interview paper? Mine said not to bring anyone.

It's somewhere on the main USCIS COVID 19 safety precautions page. It also says to bring your own mask and pen.

Good luck to you!

Yes exactly that’s why op make no sense because neither of them can go with the mom inside.

I meant to the USCIS office not inside the interview itself. Lol sorry for the confusion. Thank you!

One one is allowed inside the office either. It’s really hard times with this Covid. But otherwise both go and stay in the car while she is in there and be there for her when she goes out

Yes exactly, that's the least we can do. Thanks again.
