Hello All!
I am back - more visa fun for this couple!
my husband got here successfully on a K1, we adjusted status he is a working permanent resident woo!
In our K1 we included his daughter but she didn’t join us - we did it just in case we did follow to join but the year expired already.
we’d like to initiate the process to have her here too as my step daughter since I am the USC. ANY tips and timeline ideas between US and Cuba would be helpful. As her mom in Cuba wants to be fully informed before consenting to the whole thing. How long could it take? How long would it be before she can go back to Cuba etc.... thank you!

fyi - she is 4 years old. Female. Obviously not married.

Actually, follow to join ship has sailed. You as her stepmom should file I-130 (it will be IR-2, not IR-1). Expect 12-14 months processing, hope for less.

Thanks! IR2 excellent thanks for the clarification. Is that 12-14 months until she can be here in US or until interview?

That was general guideline in the past worldwide. Not sure what the current situation is with Cuba - I know in the past they had Swiss do the visas until embassy reopened but don't know what the situation is now.
