Hi everyone, I just had a few questions about what to expect in the next couple months before my interview for a CR1 visa.

Our case was completed June 18th, and first of all I'd like to know: Do they usually send you some kind of notification in the mail after your case is complete? Also, how far in advance do they send you your interview letter before your actual interview? As for the medical, do I schedule it for myself, or do they schedule it for me?

I pretty much have everything else in order, I even went out and bought an accordian folder today to put all my documents in for the interview (which is still about 3-4 months away..haha)

but if anyone can answer the above questions it would be very helpful :)

Thanks for any replies!

1. You will get an approval letter saying the case was complete and sent off

2. They told us a month in advance about our interview

3. You will schedule it when you get your interview date in packet 4. This needs to be schedule 14 to 10 days before the interview. You will have to show them your appointment letter at the interview. You both will get a copy of packet 4 about the medical and interview.

4. We order his police certificate when the case was approved at NVC.

hello, if your case is complete you should call the embassy manila customer service and ask if they already have your case in their system,if they have it,they will tell you your schedule for medical and the date of your interview.anyway they will send you a letter of your schedule.prepare ur case # before calling them.dont worry about the interview for as long as your documents are true, they will not deny you.stay calm, tell them the truth, plus the consuls are friendly.there are 2 kinds of interview, the pre and final,in pre-interview you will be ask to give them proof of your marriage like wedding photos at least 10 including first and old photos since you've been together and ask questions like where did u met,how long you've been married,ur husbands work....etc...etc all about you and your husband.in the final interview,u will be ask at least three questions same as from the pre interview...goodluck
