Will Governors Make The Same Mistake Twice With Lockdowns?

I & I Editorial Board - June 29, 2020

With a recent spike in coronavirus infections, no doubt due to the nationwide riots and demonstrations whipped up by the Democrats since late May, some governors are reversing their earlier easing of economic restrictions.  It's a huge and costly mistake.  [...]

I don’t hear this enough in the MSM.  I guess they don’t want to make Cuomo and Whitmer look bad.

No doubt the riots spun off a fair number of cases. No doubt the media  does not want to report that.

To say however the nationwide crazy spike is due in most part to  the riots cant be accurate. There have been huge spikes in areas that had no riots. its mainly due to the fact most people have stooped any kind of safe behaviors. Social distancing, hand cleansing and according to many well respected infectious disease doctors Masks. I am in the middle. I think they help no doubt, but as some pointed out very few use them properly

Its the same fake narrative that i see 5 times a day on FB. it goes something like this. "The rise in cases is due to the rise in testing, DUH!. You have to be an idiot to believe otherwise!".:. I think you have to be an idiot to post fake news on FB and call people idiots for not believing it.

The 43% stat was True back when the rona first got going. It swept thru assisted living like wildfire. That number has fallen to under 25% and continues o fall. Also we are sing more younger people dying. it still may be 80% over 60

As per the CDC, of the 1.3 million US deaths from all causes (data won't be complete for another year or so, obviously):

941 deaths under the age of 35. --- 0.84%

111,285 age 35 and over.  --- 99.16%

103,825 55 and over.  ---  92.51%

112,226 total

112,226/1,276,875 = 8.79% covid deaths.

"This data, and anecdotal reports across the country, clearly show that nursing homes have been devastated by the virus," Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Seema Verma, administrator of the CMS, wrote in a letter to governors.

You didn't ask a question, so obviously I did not answer it.  I simply provided accurate stats from the CDC.  Sorry if accurate numbers upset you.

I cannot make the stats the CDC puts out be about what you want them to be, I can only show what they show.  (You'll note there is no reference in my post to nursing home stats.

Next you're gonna suggest I get banned for posting factual stats, just so I can be like you? 👹👹

And while we are on the subject of numbers...

(Worldwide deaths. Note that covid is since last year, not just restricted to this year)

I also find it interesting that the weekends seem to have lower death rates, and Tuesdays the highest. (Only 254 deaths in the US on Saturday 4 July)

Then if your stats ( and by the way that was a massive dump of raw data) said nothing about nursing home deaths, why??? Post it in response. Red fire truck = yellow house.

As for reporting you. I rarely report. and would never report a brother. However reporting would be dangerous for you becuse you have pre existing conditions.
