Hello I just got DQ and is happy to join this thread..

I have tried to expedite with doctors notes and they have denied me.. it’s soooo sooo frustrating.. Am going to try to contact the embassy on Monday.. Uhhhhh

Can you change your profile fro K1. Sorry you were denied. But the embassy will not approved since they are still closed. No way to approve since you can't even fly out. Heck all the CO's aren't even there at the embassy. Hard to fly in with international flights still not allowed.

Got DQ on July 8th and send the embassy in Romania an email to ask about their available slots, they told me they are expecting NVC to schedule me this August for the interview. How does this work, NVC first sends the case to the embassy and then schedules the interview OR NVC schedule the interview first and the send the case over to the embassy?

Congratulations i have added you to the spreadsheet.

Has anyone had experience of scheduling directly through contacting embassy? That's what the embassy told me the last time I emailed them (which I do almost every day😅😞 "We can schedule an interview for urgent IR1, IR2, CR1, CR2 and K visa cases. Do you have any urgent travel need?

They are asking you to expedite that's the only way they will schedule your interview.

Hi everyone,

DQ: April 21,2020

Still waiting for interview letter from the Manila Embassy. How ever I've noticed some people can go through medical without the interview letter? How is that? Anyone else waiting for the interview letter for Cr1 visa?

Yes Manilla is one of the few countries you can have medical without interview letter. But I strongly do not recommend that since you have no idea when your interview will be or when you can leave. I would just hold on and wait.

We got our interview date - July 24 Ankara, Turkey !

One question, we will bring some evidence of our relationship (photos, albums, etc). Will we get that evidence back or do they keep it?

They may keep . Usually evidence brought is handed back. Congratulations. I have updated you.

Was this an expedite or regular scheduled appointment?

Help!
I know a lot of us have issues with getting tax transcripts. I hope to find someone in a similar situation as me and probably others.
We filed including a joint sponsor, who is able to support me enough on his own. We have all the sponsors tax transcripts. We dont have my husbands due to COVID and he is living overseas. His online account is not accessible because he lives with me. But they are also not sending his transcripts by mail. (reason: due to lack of transportation)We uploaded an explanation in CEAC stating this issue and got DQ june 1st. But we did mention that we would bring the transcripts to the interview (we thought the IRS must have gotten a solution by now). Do you think it is an issue if we dont have my husbands transcripts, but we have the joints who makes way over the averages or do we risk being denied? Any thoughts? Thanks all of you!

Do you have the most current Tax forms and W2. That will suffice.

No she is not eligible unless you had her listed on your 2019 taxes.

Is she still eligible?  I'm getting ripped off because I'm a PR and not a citizen!  The US, despite the Constitution, is a country of taxation without representation!

On a side note, @dwheels76 did your ceremony happen?!  If so, a huge congrats!

If the date at the time of entry at POE is over 2 years it will automatically be issued as IR1.  You don't have to do anything.

Not necessarily automatically changed.  If the visa is issued after the 2 year anniversary, it should automatically change.

If not, it will depend on your POE and what they know and are capable of.  I went through a land POE and CBP said they couldn't change anything (visa issued 2nd week in Mar, entered the day after our 2 year anniversary).  Others who've traveled by air were able to have USCIS change it.  If they ever issue my GC, I will have to file an I-90 and have it changed.

Yes my husband had his Oath just last Wednesday the 8th.

And love it you know USA well. I think they weren't thinking right about the stimulus package but you should get it this next go round.

Seems weird you didn't get yours my husband was a PR and the principal filer.

That is excellent news!  Was the ceremony ridiculous?  Hub's was.  People filing in for HOURS.  Can't imagine Judge Hidalgo would approve if it was unchanged!

Yes - I believe it's been discussed in some AOS or EAD threads here. I'm really not a fan of the administration, but saying that they become undocumented due to delayed forms is a bit far of a stretch imho.

On a more positive note - he's reversed the student visa decision today. Guess there was too much backlash from his rich friends that benefit from crazy high tuition from foreign students :)

I hope you're correct with the undocumented part.  Before DH got his citizenship, he had to renew his GC.  They told him it would probably take longer than a year to get a new card, so they put a holographic validity extension sticker on it.  No reason the visa stamps can't be extended in a similar way.  Still though - poor planning!

The ivy leagues and their equivalent counterparts can't operate without the asinine foreign tuition!  I also think it's ridiculous to not allow students studying.  They aren't stealing uni slots from Americans or taking American jobs.  They are just having their money taken with no benefit to their home country!
