I didn't know you could submit more than 1 expedite request.

my embassy also says, that they are only handling emergency & mission critical cases. But nothing yet on my cancelled interview since Apr. I am thinking of sending expedite request. Our medical will expire next month too

great!! congrats!! someone posted a message here wondering why isn't Hong Kong embassy.

The poster was me. I posted that a few days ago and now I got the interview. :)

According to DOS, CR1/IR1 and CR2/IR2 are now considered mission critical, or am I missing something?

Need some urgent advice - On the Pre-interview checklist, there's one item:

The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s. If the income of the sponsor's spouse is being used on the Affidavit of Support, the spouse must complete Form I-864A.

My husband is the petitioner and we didn't use any sponsors. My husband's I-864 Affidavit of Support was accepted. Do I need to print a copy of that form to the interview?

I would just bring a print out (orignal isn't necessary) of the i-864 and any supporting financial documentation you submitted at the NVC stage. In all likelihood you won't be asked for it because the immigration officer will have access to a soft copy but no danger in being ultra safe.

That’s correct. Read the full statement. It also says if local resources allow. Majority of the embassies are not doing any interviews

there are just few here & there

Most embassies are still only doing those deemed "life or death" emergencies. They would move to mission critical services and then routine.

They are only focus on emergency cases only. There can’t be that many life & deaths cases where ppl from Apr are still waiting.

If it isn't life or death, it is not emergency for most embassies. So, we all must wait.

Glad to hear people r getting interviews scheduled..

We r DQ-ed Jan 28, 2020

1st interview March 31st - cancelled mid March when all embassies suspended visa services

US Embassy Belgrade, Serbia

We e-mailed the embassy mid June to inquire about the possible interview date, but received a copy/paste reply that routine visa services are suspended.

In the meantime Covid situation is getting out of control in a 2nd wave or however they decided to call it.

I have no expectations for August, maybe September.

Lets stay safe, all this shall pass eventually

11-20-2019 - mailed docs to NVC

12-20-2019 - DS-260 done

01-28-2020 - NVC DQ-ed

02-08-2020 - husband flew back to the States

02-14-2020 - IV interview scheduled for 03-31-2020

03-15-2020 - pending IV interview cancelled due to COVID

08-04-2020 - US Embassy notified us - not eligible for a follow -to-join immigration route anymore. Spouse has naturalized. Advised to re-start the process with I-130 😯

"2 heart attacks" and a month later....

09-08-2020 - applied online I-130

09-09-2020 - NOA1 sent out

09-16-2020 - received NOA1 hardcopy, case pending at Texas SC,

Online case status check, shows case pending at Nebraska SC

09-09-2020 - touched

09-10-2020 - touched

09-14-2020 - touched

10-19-2020 - touched

Need some help if anyone can answer a few of our questions....our visa is in transit to Jerusalem, we requested an NVC expedite and it was approved and we now requested a transfer to the embassy in Amman because it is difficult for my husband to get into Jerusalem. My questions are:

1. How will we know if Amman approves the transfer, and after it is accepted, will our case still be expedited there.

2. Are expedited cases getting interviews first?

3. And I also read online that if your expedite is approved through the NVC then we schedule the interview ourselves not the NVC?

Sorry I know a lot of questions but we appreciate your help!

Hello!  Another question is if you get transferred to Amman, would you be allowed to still do the medical exam in Palestine, or would you need to do it in Jordan?

Anyone know if spouses are allowed/expected at the interview?

How about young children (who are already citizens)?

Only the one being interviewed will be allowed in.

You should check the “interview” section of your embassy. Some allow spouses, some don’t. Children I am not sure at all, but the embassy site should clarify if any company is allowed and steps to register them if needed.

With COVID still rampant they aren't allowing extra people who don't need to be there.

Hello Everyone,  got DQ in April and currently waiting for interview. I renewed my passport due to exhaustion of pages and in my application(DS 260, I130) my old passport number is listed.

any idea what i need to do prior to the interview and will this delay the visa issuance timeline?

Please bring old and new to interview. That's all you need to do.

Hi everyone! Does anyone know what would happen if we are granted our visa in August and it expires in January, what would happen if there is another COVID outbreak and all flights are canceled and the US implements another travel ban, and the immigrant can't get to the US before their visa expires? Is there any government protocol or exceptions for this scenario? I'm sure it happened to people this spring but I cant seem to find a concrete answer.

You would notify the embassy and they will instruct you to redo medical drop off passport at lockbox or center for reissue as long as you aren't in the ban category.
