Hey Juliet,  hope you are keeping well. Isn't it intriguing that studies are more important than now families? I wish separation of families was also given a little bit of importance.

Yeah I thought so too. I guess because schools are starting soon but family is important too and most foreign students do not have relatives in the US 😪. Did you get your interview date ?

Yes, I haven’t walk in front of the embassy here in CDMX for a while.. I should go and check what’s going on over there.

I just hope that the embassy in Bogotá Colombia starts doing something about our visa categories soon. Is so annoying to see how they only post On Twitter and Facebook marines doing exercises and English classes... noting about visas, when... how...🙄

The embassy in Mexico posts about not migrating ilegally and to protect yourself from the troubles of doing so and I'm here thinking well if you gave out interview dates that wouldn't happen! Lol

My  interview for April was canceled 3 weeks before its scheduled date and now in a limbo as to when they will reschedule it.

In Russia also. But the thing is - student visas do not require an interview.

That is not true. Why would Russia exempt students to interview. Getting accepted to a US school does not guarantee a visa an interview is required.
**Okay i see the post some interviews will be waived but it sure doesn't mean no student visa interviews. Might be for some already established who knows**

Of course it doesn't - it was a trash post by a notorious misinformation poster with a separate agenda.  "limited visa waiver at one embassy" means no student visa interviews in every country apparently.
