Here's what u need to know happened

Due to an increase in local COVID-19 cases, San Francisco will temporarily delay the reopening of businesses originally scheduled for June 29.

This has nothing to do with the furlough. They've gotten the letters but the furlough doesn't start until August 3rd. This most likely has to do with closures linked to COVID.
