NOA1 Was March 20 for my 129f petition for K1 fiancee.  With this Covid19 and offices closing opening and maybe closing again...  Do you think I should get documents now while I can or wait? She lives in Manila. but being documents are good for a year:

A. She does have her PSA birth Cert, but I guess we should order 3 more copies?

B. Cenomar

C. NBI clearance for visa

Should I get now or wait?  Also this can all be ordered online PSA web site right?

Thanks

With all the uncertainty going on now, I suggest that she waits because the documents might end up "expiring". I read in other forums that ideally these government documents should be 6 months old or less by the time she goes for interview at the embassy.

Since she is in Manila, it wouldn't be difficult for her to get these documents when the time comes. She can get CENOMAR and birth certificate from PSA online easily (https://www.psaserbilis.com.ph/Default.aspx), though delivery period will be a bit longer due to community quarantine. NBI offices are actually open as long as you get the appointment and pay online, but again, people in this forum recommend that the clearance is 6 months or newer for the interview. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your thoughts and response. PSA site indeed says 3 week delay now.   Yea if it is 6 months understand what you mean, thought was a year for php, but to keep it fresh I understand.  So at what point to wait in the process? maybe when they are ready to send it over to Manila?

There is such a backlog that once the petition is on post you will still have plenty of time

P S.  NBI is one year

YMMV

The guidance in normal times is that she can start getting her documents together once petition has been approved (when you get the NOA2/I-797) and its on its way to Manila after you get your case # from NVC. To give you an idea of my timeline because of COVID, our petition was approved Feb 2020 but did not show up at CEAC as "Ready" (meaning, it's in Manila) for scheduling the interview until 2 weeks ago (June 2020). The embassy is still not doing interviews and have kept postponing reopening for routine visa services, so now its kind of a wait-and-see for us. I've started getting my documents together but not rushing into it and not getting the medical exam either because no one knows how long this will last.
