Hello, good evening.. Please pardon my English. My case status was approved on the USCIS case status website in March and got transferred to NVC center few weeks later, I received a welcome letter from NVC giving me my case number and invoice number to login so as to monitor my case progress. So later around middle of June after submitting all the necessary documents and fee required by NVC, I eventually got "documentarily qualified and an interview will be scheduled with the consulate" email... But now my issue is that there was a day, I just tired to check my case status with my receipt number on the USCIS case status website and behold what I got was this 👇 👇 👇

"Document Was Returned To USCIS

On March 20, 2020, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until September 16, 2020. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by September 16, 2020, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." Instead of case approved that was there before when it just got approved.

Now my question is, please does it have any effect with my current case at NVC after being qualified for interview already if I am unable to get those documents back and got destroyed eventually by USCIS? My immigrant visa class is F2a. I will be anticipating your reply. Thanks for your time!

Sounds like your approval notice was returned by USCIS? Just follow the instructions and request that they re-send it.
