US Embassy called

So I saw the new post on the US embassy page that they are cancelling all visa services til July 31.

 

I'm sharing this because I find it very funny that they called me JUNE 28, MONDAY, telling me my interview is on JULY 1, WEDNESDAY! I'm not from Manila or Luzon so that would be impossible (esp with the requirements and all). So obviously it should be rescheduled. And by the way, the US embassy beat me to it. They started by saying "You're from Cebu right? So you can't come to you interview on July 1?" 

 

Wow. Now I wonder what would've happened if I did agree to the July 1, or if anyone even did.

Pre-Covid19 that timeframe is certainly doable but definitely not now.

🤔 if they already knew that, why would they call just to confirm? 

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

True. Maybe just to satisfy a "requirement" that they need to inform me and I supposedly (well, would obviously) have to deny the schedule? Well, I don't really know now.

Hi! No, I didn't since I denied the schedule during our June 28 call. I wonder if others did.
