Husband left country while AP card error being fixed

Hi all, my husband had an emotional breakdown from the stress of this process, the pandemic, and other major changes in our lives (he's sought help now). He hopped on a plane to his home country. He was granted his EAD/AP card months ago but it had a typo that was USCIS's error. We returned that more than 2 months ago and they are still processing corrections. So he left without an AP card. It's bad...but how bad? Are we looking at the 10 year overstay ban?

I believe he's fine just using the new card when it arrives. You can mail it to him.

The new card will come with the same issued date as the first one. So he technically already has an approved AP, just don't have proof of it right now.
