Hello,

Me (dutch) and my fiance (american) are currently looking into filling out the I129F to start our K1. But filling out the form we ran into a lot of questions. Is there anyone here that can either tell us where i can find how to answer these? Or anyone who knows how to answer these from experience? I have read all the USCIS instructions, but can't find a conclusive answer there.

1. Part 1. 8a. in care of name: leave blank entire column? what is ment with "in care of name"?
2. Part 1. 9a. your adress history: Where you live or your mailing adres?
What if petioner moved but still has mailing adres with parents?
Is there such a thing as regestered adress in the usa?
3. Part 1. 32c. Parent 2 info: Leave blank if he has no middle name?
4. Part 1. 37. Have you been previously married: This aplies to the petioner right? But it is right below parents info?
5. Part 1. 31a. City/town/village of residence: If you live in Queens / Astoria / Long island city / New york NY which is it?
It is called multiple things it seems.
6. Part 2. 18. Beneficiairys occupation: I translated the dutch "Construteur" (official title on my paycheck) to "Mechanical Engineer"
which is not a direct translation, but best fitting i think. Is this correct? any suggestions?
7. Part 2. 33a. / 33b. Residence of parent: What if this info is truely unknown? Do i write "unknown"? I have no interest in contact.
Nor would i know how. Do i need to hire a PI to get this info?
8. Part 2. 38a. / 38h. Is your beneficiairy currently in the us: What if we file it on the date that i am visiting on an ESTA?
Does that mean yes? Or only if you are staying?
9. Part 2. 47a/48. Benefiaciarys physical adres abroad: Just my current adres again? Does this mean something different?
10. Part 2. 54. discribe circumstances of meeting each other in person: What did other pepole write here?
Like what info should i put there, what is critical. Since you can't put a lot of info there.
11. Part 8. aditional information: What Item Numbers do I use if the thing I'm adding info to is a list of employers?
12. Part 8. What if i had one employer who filed taxes from multiple locations? Do i list all the adresses or pick the main adress?
13. Part 8. 5c. item number: What item number?

Thank you all in advance.

1. Part 1. 8a. in care of name: leave blank entire column? what is ment with "in care of name"? Leave blank. If I was sending a package to your job site and I wanted to make sure you received it I would write "In c/o You"
2. Part 1. 9a. your adress history: Where you live or your mailing adres?
What if petioner moved but still has mailing adres with parents? is all his mail going to parents? Is his ID still his parents? If so I would keep just his parents.
Is there such a thing as regestered adress in the usa?
3. Part 1. 32c. Parent 2 info: Leave blank if he has no middle name? blank or N/A
4. Part 1. 37. Have you been previously married: This aplies to the petioner right? But it is right below parents info? petitioner. They don't care about your parents previous marriages.
5. Part 1. 31a. City/town/village of residence: If you live in Queens / Astoria / Long island city / New york NY which is it?
It is called multiple things it seems. It is Queens, New York.
6. Part 2. 18. Beneficiairys occupation: I translated the dutch "Construteur" (official title on my paycheck) to "Mechanical Engineer"
which is not a direct translation, but best fitting i think. Is this correct? any suggestions? Do what bests describes your job
7. Part 2. 33a. / 33b. Residence of parent: What if this info is truely unknown? Do i write "unknown"? I have no interest in contact.
Nor would i know how. Do i need to hire a PI to get this info? Do you have a city and state at least? If not put unknown
8. Part 2. 38a. / 38h. Is your beneficiairy currently in the us: What if we file it on the date that i am visiting on an ESTA?
Does that mean yes? Or only if you are staying? If you file when you are in the USA your answer would be yes.
9. Part 2. 47a/48. Benefiaciarys physical adres abroad: Just my current adres again? Does this mean something different?
10. Part 2. 54. discribe circumstances of meeting each other in person: What did other pepole write here?
Like what info should i put there, what is critical. Since you can't put a lot of info there. You can add another page "Addendum Part 2, 54" and write it out. Some people will tell you it doesn't matter and they put one sentence. We had a paragraph or two; also, when my husband had his interview the CO said "I read how you guys met and it's kind of cute" so I'd like to think they gave us points ;)
11. Part 8. aditional information: What Item Numbers do I use if the thing I'm adding info to is a list of employers?
12. Part 8. What if i had one employer who filed taxes from multiple locations? Do i list all the adresses or pick the main adress?
13. Part 8. 5c. item number: What item number?

Thank you all in advance.

Read instructions again, then again, then again, and again. Keep reading through the instructions very carefully until you've understood them. Take it one at a time, search through the forums here, google, and uscis for help or clarifications. This petition takes time to get right, it took my fiancee and I about a month.

@Westbound there are guides to help you as part of the toolbox that VJ offers. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "guides" then select "immigration guides" then select the offering under the title of "guides if you are engaged".  There you will see K-1 guide.

Just want to let you know, i'm not sure what you used to blank out the information..

When I opened it using my macbook Preview, and copy and pasted it into Pages it showed all of your personal details in text
I would delete that PDF from here if I were you as soon as possible !

Fabricator, Machinist, Machine operator may fit your needs better. Mechanical Engineer would be "werktuigbouwkundig ingenieur."
