Hi everyone,

Just writing here to see if what I should do and if I should start worrying ..

I send my AOS package on June second, tracking said it arrived on June 4th. Since then I got zero news, called USCIS last week and they say at this time they don't see any updated , and to email lockbox support.

I emailed lockbox support  a week ago, no news either.

I checked the status of our money order , not cashed yet ..

Did they lose my application you think?

Thank you and have a good day

To be honest, imo, it is likely either:

1.  Awaiting entry into the system.

2.  Rejected.......and is en-route back to you.

I didn't even know they had secondary review at the lockbox.. good to know though !

It works like this:

Lockbox looks at your application.

If it passes - receipt is generated, check cashed and notice sent

if it fails - sent to secondary review. this can take up to 30 days. check wont be cashed. once secondary confirms, application is denied or accepted.  So there is the burn here

Its in the USCIS processing manual - google it

I guess it does take 30 days for some of us ..

Lisa,  Thanks for the update -- helps to know how long the lockbox processing is.

Lockbox response after submitting AOS paperwork is taking much longer than usual. For my husband, it took 23 days to get the NOA letter and text confirmations, and payment had been processed a few days prior. Prior to COVID, our K1 visa paperwork took a week to get a response letter and text confirmation. UCSIS seems to be behind or working with limited staff at the moment.

Yes, it does take a long time but finally today we receive the NOA letters in the mail , exactly a month after they received our application :)
