Should the petitioner attend the interview?

I've read about a couple of people on here who have attended the interviews with the beneficiary, whereas others don't. Anyone have an idea on what seems best? Is it best to attend alone or is it better attending together? Thank you!

Attending is always better.....if your consulate allows it.

In some countries it's definitely necessary but not the UK.

The interview in London is usually very simple and quick unless you have a complicated case. 

In and out in under an hour is not uncommon

I don’t see any reason that the petitioner needs to attend a UK interview. If money to travel is no issue and flights are abundant with no mandatory quarantine, and tourist places are open...then it can be a fun jaunt to London together. Unfortunately times aren’t like that now.  But as far as helping the visa process, I don’t buy into that. Any perceived benefit would be negated by all the hassle of Covid restrictions.
