I just read a post by Lucho in the Colombia Club thread. He said his wife tried to pay the interview fee at the bank in Bogota and was not allowed because she didn't have the form printed front and back. This seems very petty, but a lot of things about this process are petty.

Is there a rule as far as printing the PDFs of the I-130 and I-129F? Should they be printed front and back or front only. In other words, do form pages 1 and 2 need to be printed on the front and back of the same piece of paper? I can print them either way at the office, but I just want to know what is preferred by USCIS. I can't imagine it makes a difference, but I didn't see anything in the guide or the instructions so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

CG

All document filed with a petition can be printed on one side. In fact, I wouldn't consider printing them any other way for fear they would miss something important on the back page.

Yup, its me that it happened to, well my fiance. She had to go back today with the ds156 printed on both sides. My fiance received a ds156 from the embassy in packet 4 after we filled ours out online. And the one received from the embassy was printed on both sides. Who knows if the embassy would care, but the teller at the bank sure did.

Yep, I agree with pushbrk, all documents filed with a petition can be printed on one side. The case might be different for the visa application forms filed to embassy/consulates. They can be more finnicky.

Often it is the ancillary folks like the medical facilities and payment agencies that are overly cautious. They want only the original forms, hand written. It doesn't seem to matter how many times the Consulates tell them otherwise.

CG,

Either way, up to you. I printed all forms and many other things 2-sided.

If you do print 2-sided be sure to print top-to-bottom, not side-to-side, so that the back side can be read when the page is flipped up - USCIS binds things into the case file at the top of the documents.

It was actually the bank teller in Colombia who had an issue with the forms Lucho's fiancée brought in. He just wanted them to be printed out on both sides for whatever reason. I believe it's Bancafé if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah the dumb a$$ tellers fault. That teller made us waste our time. I would have :bonk: the teller if I was there. I think the banks name is banco de credito. Something like that.
