what to do while at home waiting for work auth

Thanks for the volunteering website. I wasn't sure wether we were allowed to do that or not. It would be great to do that. I spotted a few things that have to do with my professional training, and it would be a great way to keep busy and meet new people.

You can definitely volunteer. There are many good reasons to do so, that will help jump start your career here in the US. You get to meet people and network, get experience that you can put on a resume, and help improve the community you are living in. So if you are not going to be able to work for the 3-6 months while waiting for your EAD, volunteering is one way to make it easier to get into the job market when you can.
