One thing I have observed about the ROC process is that my former spouse when she filed for ROC back in 2009 she received her new GC right before the 90 day period expired.   One of my close friends that did her ROC in 2013 also received her GC really fast.  Is it true that DACA and asylum seekers since around 2014/2015 is what has incremented the time it takes to do an ROC?

Hey folks,

How did you guys mail your documents over; USPS or UPS/FedEx?

I mailed it using USPS to the PO Box that is provided. And now it is awaiting pickup. Anyone have any idea how long till it is picked up?

I used USPS and it was picked up 2 days after it arrived at the lockbox (in Texas)

Exactly what I did. I printed a statement for every 3 months since our marriage and the last one from June 2020, I thought it was too much too print all the statements.

I only included from last year to present which is already too many. 1 statement for each month for our Joint Savings and annual summary for our Credit Card.

I was only planning on printing just the most recent statements from this year. The front page of the statements indicate the date when the account was opened anyway. Lurking on the the previous months' filers thread persuaded me to just print out more. To be fair, my packet is 3lbs. I've seen some that are thicker

Does anyone have any preference/opinion on paper check versus G-1450 form? Is one way better than another in terms of time? I wasn't sure and I haven't filled out a G-1450 yet because during AOS, I used money order instead.

Also, I remember sending two money orders for two different things last time, is the $680 payment on one check tis time or also split $595 and $85 to two different payees?

AOS:

05/23/2018:     Sent in all four forms.

10/10/2018:     Interview at Detroit Field Office - Green Card Approved.

11/10/2018:     Green Card Received (Starting CPR 10/15/2018)

ROC:

07/24/2020:     Packet sent.

03/25/2021:     ROC Approved

03/29/2021:     Green Card Received

N-400:

07/17/2021:     Online Submission. NOA and Bio Reused 07/17.
10/20/2021:     Interview Scheduled for 12/03

01/12/2022:     Oath Ceremony

The only reason I added from the beginning of our marriage is because it shows activity.

If it can make you feel better, my package was 2.5 lbs 😀

We used the g-1450 because we were lazy to get the money order, that's all... (And it gives us travel points too).  I don't think it's processed faster or slower compared to the money order. And we filled for $680.

I use a paper check. I think both of ways are same in terms of time.

Thanks for the timeline information too! My window opened on 7/15 but I've been lazy this year so I'm still finishing up. Gotta get the passport photos and the payment stuff and then done.
