I’m eligible for N400 in mid-July but I might hold off on that if I don’t have any updates on ROC until then.

I will update here as soon as I see something. Good luck!

Hope you don't mind me asking. I'm just curious, why would one hold off on naturalization?

Just for a few months I think when it gets close to the time when I’m expecting ROC to be done I will fine for N400. If you see the previous page there’s a comment from one of the moderators (I think? User is HRQX) where he said sometimes if ROC is still pending, during your N400 interview if they decide they can’t adjudicate both ROC and N400 they will send you back or defer the case until later at the USCIS office before the interview when you check-in. Basically I’m just trying to avoid that situation. Any thoughts on this?

Hey guys

I have my interview coming up

I have all documents required ready but my Bank statements are printed online so are the utility bills, life insurance

I hope, not having the originals wouldn’t be a problem

And also I picked 4-5 month statements every year since it’s 4 years of each statements and I have 3 bank accounts with my spouse, and several utility bills

You are ok showing Printed statements. What they want as true originals are documents like birth certificates, marriage certificates and the likes.

Oh wow. That's a pain. I just thought that since the wait time is painfully long for pretty much any application now, why not file as soon as you can, if budget is not an issue. Since it's not required to be approved for I-751 I was planning on filing mine as soon as I'm eligible this June. Now hearing this, it's a little disheartening. I was hoping USCIS will start picking up speed with the new admin at least. My I-751 has been stuck in transferred status for close to 4 months now.

Yeah it’s really annoying that they let you file but then there’s no way to know if the interview will happen even if it’s scheduled. Don’t worry hopefully you’ll hear something before June that will give you a better idea of when to file N400, preferably soon!

Yes, I-751 has been really slow lately for most except SRC cases, which seems to be moving fast. I’ve even seen a couple WAC cases approved but none from LIN, which is mine haha. But yeah I’m not gonna fret until Christmas, after which I might be a little concerned if I don’t hear anything lol. It’s been stuck at “fingerprints applied” for 4+ months.

Some countries don't allow dual/multiple citizenship so some applicants need to take care of their original citizenship first before applying for US naturalization. Some people don't like that the 3-year application requires more paperwork than the 5-year application. Or maybe life just gets in the way. It's ultimately just a personal choice when/if to apply for naturalization.

I sent in our I751 application (including dependent child's application) on 07/14 via Fedex.

Delivered on 07/16.

CC charged on 07/21.

Received text message with case number starting with SRC******* on 07/23.

My AOS journey taught me how to be patient with USCIS, this time I am not going to fret, but to pray and hope for the best.

Good luck everyone.

I received our green cards (myself and dependent child) on March 6, 2012 💃💃 This came as a surprise as I decided to take my mind off this process and trust in God instead and not fret, I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon, I had thought it would take a year or longer. I just got a notice from USPS that we have a mail from the Dept of Homeland Security. It has another person's name and under it says c/o EOIR 42B and below it is my address.

Should I be worried my case was somehow mixed up with another person? Or that someone has used my address?

I googled EOIR 42B and it's a Dept of Justice form to cancel deportation.

My case  (SRC) hasn't updated since November 18 and it's stuck in " Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction".

Should I even open this mail?
