What software were you using to fill it? On my computer it doesn't allow me to fill this section, so I had to fill it by hand after printing. I had to fill apartment numbers by hand in the address section also.

If you use Adobe Reader to enter the info, it auto-populates this section. It is the USCIS recommended tool...check under Downloading and Printing immigration forms.

As a workaround, when you need to enter alpha-numeric and/or special characters within areas that a restricted to either Alphabets or Numbers - start the form in Adobe Reader, save form as you consistently enter your info..switch to opening the pdf in your browser as your last step (right click in windows explorer/mac finder and open with)..and voila you shall be able to use "N/A" and also fill in "NONE" (for USCIS Online account number or Spouses A number). In fact, I even updated my place of marriage on Page 1 with this format: City, State - USA (coz when you open the form in adobe it says secured and throws a prompt at you saying enter only Alphabets).

You could also easily apply the same to your Apartment number(s)

anyone knows if USCIS reject the package, do they send notifications or just return the package to us? how long it take to return the package? It has been 10 days since USCIS received my package but have not heard  anything from them. I assume they rejected my package. Any thoughts might help me more calm and peaceful. Thank you.

They charged my CC after 14 days from receiving. So give them couple more days.

I just opened it on Chrome. I didn't even use Acrobat reader.

I had my first submission rejected in June- not the way you sent it but they send everything back. There will be a letter explaining why they rejected it- in my case I left page 11 and 12 of the form off (I know that was stupid). Their comms are pretty clear and straightforward. They do tell you not to consider it submitted.

page 11 and 12? I think you are confused. the form has only 11 pages. You mean you missed 2 last pages of the form?

Oh my, that's sucky! I was feeling positive I won't even need to do biometrics. Seems to be a trend this season.

Congrats. You are getting NOA and biometric appointment notice at the same time. How great!

You were right! I received a letter containing the NOA and another letter saying I didn't need an appointment for the biometrics since fingerprints were applied to my case. Now, more waiting..

07/14: Credit card charged

My application packet arrived at the PO Box on the 23rd. I am assuming it's with USCIS now. Just curious how long is the average timeline for the application to be received and a text message to be generated?

Just received it today.

That is good news. So they are not taking months for it. Mine got delivered yesterday. Waiting for a check to clear and get notifications. My GC expires on 8/22 and I want to be able to continue to drive. Need NOA for DMV..

Still no update yet. This is really upsetting:( my file was received the 13th of July and did not get anything yet !!! No cashing out of check nothing!!!! I called USCIS and they said to wait as they don’t see any update in their system!!! I’m really upset because people sent their forms after me and they all got their NOA and text messages update
