I-485 Spouse AOS: Do I need to submit every single F-1, I-20, EAD, H-1B Approval?? ๐Ÿ˜•

I'm trying to AOS while on F-1 through marriage. I did my undergrad, worked, and then went back for masters over the last 6 years. What documents do I need to show that I have "Continuously Maintaining a Lawful Status Since Arrival in the United States"?

ย

Is latest I-94, F-1 visa, I-20 sufficient?

ย

Or do I need every single previous Visa, I-20ย EAD, H-1B 797 approval notice??

ย

It will be an extremely thick stack of document (I have about 25 pages of I-20 alone due to OPTs) if I include everything, so does anyone know if they really want EVERYTHING?

Is your spouse a US Citizen? If yes, then that is sufficient. In that case, you'll bring theย thick stack of documents to the I-485 interview.

Yup she is and thanks for your response. I don't see the distinction being made anywhere in the instructions though?

It's a matter of practicality since even I-485 applicants that didn't continuously maintain Lawful Status are eligible to AOS if they are Immediate Relatives of US Citizens:ย https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-b-chapter-8
