Medical exam for visa application is valid for 6 months. Which means that the visa has to be processed/ approved while the medical exam is valid. If the medical results have expired and you try to apply for the visa, the embassy will not process the application unless you submit a valid medical exam.

Where/how did you know the medical is valid for 6 months?

It’s actually 6 months Plus a one month extension depending on when you took the exam because of the Covid shutdowns. Here’s a link that explains it with the exact dates. Hope this helps. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/one-month-extension-of-immigrant-visa-medical-examinations.html

Waiting for Montreal interview to resume too... is the police clearance only valid for a year? Does that mean you have to renew it?

Unfortunately yes. I just had to redo mine cause mine expired in August. Too bad they can’t give us an extra month extension on that too!
