Not sure why you are talking about the EU?  This is about Philippines and their lockdown/quarantine.

EU was just another example provided. Many countries are on lockdown. There’s a global pandemic called corona virus, and some countries take it more serious than others. We’ve seen the success of a lockdown in Australia. I get that it’s hard (I made it to my husbands country just before full lockdown started, and now there’s no way to return so it goes both ways), but we all have to be patient.

Some people are saying by October they may re-open... hope so

Nobody knows

Too many factors in play. Will there be a vaccine? Who knows. Will we just say live and let live and let "Herd Immunity" take place?  Will it open after the Presidential Elections in November in the USA?

Some are saying 2021? Is that January 2021 or late in 2021 like November?

I can tell you one thing, you can only shut down life and business and the economy around the world for so long.

My guess right now is half past never or more accurately, when hell freezes over, I guess which ever is the later. 😡

who knows maybe the PHn Gov. will decide next that the only 100% way to "stay safe from the scaaaaarrryyyy virus" is by not breathing at all and will issue a ban accordingly  you know, in the vein of public safety mind you 😏

Philippines = no herd immunity.  They are all praying for a vaccine and probably won't take it due to the last dengue vaccine.

Gotta say my wife and her O blood type did much better and was over COVID very fast compared to this kano and his B.

Yeah this just kills me, the whole "waiting for a vaccine" firstly vaccines are no where near 100% and are not an end all be all solution, secondly who knows how long that will take and as you said who will take it. The PH culture is an interesting one where a large majority are actually fearful of doctors (at least from my experience). I work with plenty of folks who have tested positive and talked to others and have friends in the medical field who treat cases and by and large they all go about their marry way after being sick just like they do after being sick with the flu. Ages range from 20's all the way up into late 70's and symptoms range from mild cold to severe flu, I mean obviously no one likes to get sick no matter the cause but it's no reason to "end life" while you still have it to live, especially after the reality is blatantly obvious and the initial "Panic" hysteria should be giving way to common sense and moderate/appropriate levels of concern versus life/economy/mental health/physical health/etc... needed daily for any human body. I can only speak to what I have seen of people I know.

How was that for you guys?

Mary's first real doctors visit was at age 24 in Mexico and she was shaking.  A few months later was her medical and she survived and got 3 shots.  6 months later she had a car accident and off to the chiropractor. Shaking / nervous again.  Hasn't, or won't, go to the doctor since.

My feeling is that the Philippines will need to reopen, as they will need the revenue. They could have a single typhoon kill more people than covid ever will.
