I just received an email stating that the NVC updated the status of my application. I paid the fees earlier this year and I recently submitted the DS-260. When I log in, I see "Completed" in the application box. I also have one new message in the inbox with the title "DS-260 Review Note" but when i try to open it, there is nothing. Is this normal? How do I know if I need to take any further actions regarding the DS-260? I thought if it says completed then everything is okay, but why am I getting a message about it then?

Thank you

Click on the message only once, wait for about a minute or so and you will see the message on screen. If you click more than once, it won’t work. I had same issue and found above trick from this Forum, it worked.

I tried that and waited about 10 minutes... Nothing happened. I tried it on different browsers too... its all the same result...

I believe the only recourse in that case, is to call the NVC and have them read the message to you.

I have completed the DS 260 and am trying to submit the required documents.. However, whenever I click Upload, an error comes on the screen. I have no idea why this is happening.... could it be because I am submitting them as the petitioner and not the applicant? I am not sure if that matters... I have attached a picture for people to see... Has anyone had this happen to them??

I finished the ds 260 and now am submitting some additional documents that are required by the country that my husband is immigrating from and has citizenship. But I dont know which category the document would fall under. Is it ok to attach the document multiple times and choose a different category each time? So that way when everything is submitted there will at least be one correctly attached document... Or should I just attach it once and guess the best category?

Personally it sounds overdone and not necessary. What is the document and what are the categories?

It is an internal passport for Russian citizens. It is officially an ID though, but thats not an option to pick when submitting. The only possible choices I see are "Passport Biographic Page" and "Other"

Only the passport biographic page is required, unless your country specific DOS rules say otherwise. What’s the reason of wanting to upload local ID’s?

DOS rules require Russian citizens to submit their internal passport as well. It is stated on their website. I am just not sure what category it falls under because on the website they say it is an ID, but that is not a category option from the menu when I submit it...

Gotcha. Maybe pick the “proof of residency or citizenship” option or something like that. If you think it’s not a good fit, use “other” and under comment write the actual name of the document :)

You could also ask for your post to be moved into the regional sub forum for Russia as you might get the best advise there.
