hey all! I saw this notice I copy and paste below but I dont see any updates on the embassy website about k1 only stating visitor visa is still suspended.

Important Notice for K visa applicants affected by COVID-19

Last Updated: August 31, 2020

Effective August 28, as it becomes safe to resume more consular operations at each U.S. mission, posts are authorized to give K visa cases high priority.  Applicants should check the website of their nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for updates on what services that post is currently able to offer. The I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) is typically valid for four months; however, consular officers may revalidate the I-129F petition in four month increments.  For most cases impacted by the suspension of routine visa services or COVID-19 travel restrictions it will not be necessary to file a new I-129F petition.

I know of one person that was interviewed last week in Barbados. There aren't much people going to that embassy for an interview to really guage how fast they are scheduling interviews. I'm at the NVC stage now and awaiting DQ. Hoping I see some movement when the visa issuances for August publish. All keep us posted.

@Lee11 it was there since July and it was an approved expedite ir1. They had to email weekly to even get an appointment. Its ridiculous!

@JemAA Was told that last week when the couple went to the embassy there was only them and a family there. I dont understand why this is taking them so long especially since the islands that they service are very cautious about the virus and barely have cases. 😕

Ye no one knows what's goin at this embassy. I would like to know how many cases are even being processed. Cuz it really seems like a go slow. My personal opinion is that their main focus is on the students and everyone else is in the back burner.
