Team,  what is the best course of action after receiving the NOA2 approval notice?  I am researching now, but due to these unique times, I was looking for suggestions on next steps.  Thank you in advance!!

Update your email at the travel docs site. There's a NOA 2 pdf in the very beginning of the NOA 2 groups that gives you a pretty good step by step of what's to come. I've already updated my email a few days ago

No worries I'll copy the link.  This is from the NOA2 pdf found in any of the NOA2 threads.

Basically you submit a query stating you want to update your email addresses that way you'll get notified from NVC

Thanks again, Jojo.  I have searched around VJ, but I can't seem to locate these 'NOA2 groups or threads.  Are they here on VJ?

No problem 🙂. Was your NOA2 in March like me? I'm going to tag you in the current group of NOA2 for March in a second

I just got an update with my case today, unfortunately it was RFE. Still waiting for the mail to arrive to see what they need. My NO1 date is 2020-07-30

I just received the RFE notice yesterday. Oh boy, apparently I signed the form I-128f page 10, but forgot to put the date along with it. Now they just need that said page again properly signed and dated 😅

Hopefully y'all double-triple-quadruple check your documents before sending them in.

Well, everyone, I am beyond disappointed. Since about two weeks after our NOA2 (Feb 16), I had been calling the NVC every so often to see if we had been assigned a case number yet. Eventually they told me that they had our case on hand and were just waiting to assign it. However, last Friday I called and the worker seemed to suggest we were "within the normal processing times," didn't confirm my case was there, and was just overall confusing to talk to compared to everyone else in my previous called. Shortly after ending the call, I noticed an email from USCIS about a case update. I checked the app to find that the NVC had returned our packet to USCIS for review. I of course panicked and started to research what the reason could be, from VJ threads saying that it might simply be that the USCIS officer forgot to stamp it properly/forgot a form, to much more time consuming reviews about criminal history. I heard from a woman on Facebook that the same happened to her in January/February of this year and that it was reaffirmed within the week and sent back to the NVC. That made me hopeful, given that I thought my packet was immaculate (like everyone else does I'm sure). However, I combed through my scan of it that I took before sending it off in July, and I noticed that I erroneously filled out a section that says "Only respond to these if the beneficiary is currently in the US," which I had read as "if the beneficiary has ever been to the US." In it you provide the passport number and "valid until" date of their trip, where I entered the "valid until" date of his most recent trip, which was in September of 2019, even though I filed the packed in July of 2020. This should EASILY be recognizable as me simply being an idiot, since I wrote a letter detailing all of our trips back and forth between the US and Brazil, as well as a copy of his I94 travel history log, which confirms he left the US before the "valid until" date I listed.

I don't really know what good sharing this will do, but it's definitely nice to have people to commiserate with. I refresh the USCIS about 500 times a day now. I knew this would be an excruciating process since the forward movement comes so slowly, but I definitely never expected to move BACKWARDS.

Sorry to hear, please keep us updated. I've never heard of that happening before

oh no..... i just went through our packet too and saw we did the exact same mistake......  .....

However I currently AM in the US again visiting my fiance, just landed a few days ago and just checked and saw we got approved.

As far as I'm aware, I still need to leave the US to get my medical and interview done

I know the UK embassy + covid border restrictions is a nightmare at the moment and my plan was to change embassy's to Hong Kong as I managed to obtain residency there and apparently, Hong Kong is still processing their visas.

Any issues regarding this where I need to send details to reconfirm anything? Panicking now ! 😧

Do you have a case number with the NVC yet? If so, then I'm guessing that's not the cause of my own issue and you're good to go. If you haven't gotten one yet, just know that I have submitted a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request to see the memorandum that the NVC wrote explaining why USCIS needs to look at my case again, so I'll let you know what the cause of it ends up being.

Spent the day yesterday trekking to Tokyo to submit a Police Clearance certificate request at the Costa Rican embassy. Woke up this morning to see we are finally  approved after a 5 week wait for them to process our RFE!

No ... not yet, we only just got the paper version of the NOA2 yesterday in the mail.

Thank you for letting me know, I hope that whatever the cause is that it will be easy to solve!
