JULY 2020 I-129F K-1 FILERS

Seems as though there's a lot of activity around July 10th

We were one of the lucky couples assigned to a proactive employee. I just checked the status, and it stated that it our application was approved yesterday on Feb 11.  For reference, I mailed the form on July 8 and we received our NOA1 on July 16. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer for the rest of July applicants!

Hi everyone... noa1 date of July 15 but we are getting married today!! Will still follow along but we are withdrawing our petition and filing I-130 when we get marriage certificate

Congrats!  So happy for you!  But at the same time I'm sorry that it's almost like your starting the whole process all over.  If I am not mistaken, you are merely weeks at getting approved but refiling is going to put you back at the beginning of the line.  As long as you were aware of this of possibly waiting another year if not more to be able to come over here.  I SINCERELY do wish you the best though.   Just hope you thought all this through!

 

@Greenbaum are you able to confirm what I said.  I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, I just want to confirm for myself if I choose to fly to the Philippines, (IF I WAS ALLOWED), and married my fiance, I would be waiting possibly another year or so.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure.  Thank you for not taking offense to that.  🙂  I really wasn't trying to sound negative but I wanted the best and didn't want your fiance to miss out on being here sooner rather later.  Congrats again to the newlywed couple!  ❤️ God Bless!

No worries, it may not have been best for others but this situation was best for us. We had a fairly weak I-129f petition in a country with a completely closed embassy. We also are okay with a few more months or even years of a waiting journey if it means not having to go through AOS process in the US. ❤️

Good point, completely understandable!  AOS process sucks if you can avoid it lol

Just checked online, says we got RFE on feb 9th, still waiting for the paper mail to see exactly what the RFE is for
we got NOA1 on july 17th.
