Following along on this one. I am in a similar boat. I am about to submit my 129F for my Finnish partner and have a denied I130 from a few years ago with my ex-husband. It was denied on the grounds that his previous marriage before me was fraudulent though. Regardless it still has the potential to be messy.

Right,  I totally get it.  Mine was denied at the interview and they had me sign some paperwork there. I know it'll come up so I'm just trying to be ready.

Mine came afterwards. I guess USCIS got his ex wife in an interview and that's how I found out about the fraud. It was devastating for me.

Hopefully this time around we'll both have some better news! We sure as heck deserve it🙂

Are you referring to my divorce decree? If so I do have that and hired a lawyer myself to do that paperwork. With regards to the previous I-130 nothing in the language points to my previous marriage as an issue and revolves solely on his marriage before me being classified as fraudulent and therefore him becoming inadmissible.  I don't have a ton of paperwork for it since the attorney for that was one that he was already working with and represents him not me. I only have to submit the divorce decree with the 129F correct?

Yes. The divorce decree is what is required to prove that you are free to marry and of course your word. My experience is the less you say the better off you are. So, don't volunteer information but if asked, be honest but state the facts and not go into a long story. I have seen some that have had a long story which only gave the CO at the interview more information to work with and to ask additional questions. Just my experience talking. Good luck and stay engaged.

I thought it would be the opposite. Like, lay everything out there and be transparent. I also can see how not giving them extra info to question you on would be better in the long run. It's tricky either way

If you say nothing and nothing is asked, then you're on your way to your visa. Say something and you could be betting the farm and, in the end, lose. When asked a question answer truthfully but stick to the facts. No story telling during the interview. It never ends well. Again, my experience.

Glad you have you here. Be patient as this is the longest wait to the issuance of your visa. For most it's been running about 4-5 months.

I was just in Fayetteville this past weekend. Did some drone shots that you might be interested in.

Ahhhh! That's great news!! I'll be watching my account like a hawk I guess. hahaha. I'm so nervous about it not working. Think I may be paranoid until this process is over.

They charged my card on the 29th!!! Have you gotten any other notification from USCIS?? Haven't seen a text, email, or anything else yet. Just the charge on my card.

When they cashed out check, they sent the txt only 2 days later after cashing the check, and few days later we got the NOA1....so no worries, just wait
