Native America Passes Tough Immigration Measure

Chippewa, Wisconsin- The American Indian Congress passed a resolution yesterday that would toughen immigration laws and make it a felony to be in America illegally.

The bill proposed building a 6,000-mile wall along the eastern seaboard to cut down on illegal immigration into the continent. The bill also makes it a felony to knowingly provide any support, comfort, or shelter to illegal immigrants.

“This measure would make it illegal for churches and temples to provide food and comfort to needy immigrants” said Patrick Fitzgerald, an immigrant rights activist. “The fact that many native tribes have a spiritual and religious relationship with mother earth, makes it even more complicated; any product of nature can become illegal to provide.” He added.

Fitzgerald iterates that many of these immigrants did not migrate voluntarily. He cited the example of the group on whoes behalf he advocates, Irish immigrants, indicating that they fled rampant famine in their home country.

It is estimated that 294 million illegal aliens reside in America. A spokesman for the American Indian Congress stated: “with nearly 300 million foreigners here, not a single one applied for a visa from my government.” Mr. Kawakatoose Tenskwatawa added: “they took our towns and farmlands,” in an apparent reference to English immigrant.

Immigrants in America work a wide range of jobs for which no Indians are left alive. From farming the Great Plains to filling fancy corporate offices in the bustling cities, immigrants are drivers of the new, free-market economy.

Mr. Tenskwatawa sees a down side to immigration, on the other hand. “Immigrants brought many troubles to this land. It is no longer safe, they brought gun-powder, smallpox, drugs like puppy and whisky, and fattening foods.” He also criticized the fact that some of these substances have evolved into homegrown epidemics like the industries of moonshine and crystal methamphetamines.

The American Indian Congress is debating plans to deport all illegal immigrants in America, citing the end of the compelling circumstances that drove to America in the first place. “Ireland no longer suffers from famine, the rampant anti-Semitism of the 19th and 20th centuries that drove Jews to flee Europe is no longer, and kings an Europe no longer prosecute the public for their religious beliefs. Every body can now go back.”

Addressing more recent waves of immigration Mr. Tenskwatawa said: “ Frankly, if the Europeans are gone, we would not have Italians to run restaurants, Indians to invent their technologies, or Middles Easterns to express their grievances with the European through violent means. This land will just be better off.”

Historical perspective, in a humorous light. At least today's immigrants aren't carrying massively infectious plagues with them, nor aiming to divest us of every shred of property and freedom through persecution, death and incarceration. What if the original European immigrants here and come simply so that they might do a bit of landscaping for the natives already living here?
