Did they end up getting the medical document to the consulate on time before your interview? Or was there a delay?

No, I called the doctor today and they said that it should be there by tomorrow. I hope this is the case and that they can start working on my visa!

One of the simplest interviews I've done 😁 there was only two other people with me, one spouse and one H1B. They asked for documents, I waited maybe 10 minutes, had my interview and was approved 🤗 definitely one of the happiest days of my life!

She asked me about who my joint sponsor is, what work I do and how much I earn on average (I'm self employed)

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, this is one part of the process you don't need to stress about. Ill update you guys once my passport is back. She said 10 days max but likely a lot less. I asked about the repatriation flights through Europe we can use them but they advised we don't because a number of people have been turned away. So it's more precaution than not being able to. She recommended Qatar,  Ethiopia or Dubai. Good luck guys hope everyone is making progress.

When you guys spoke to your congress people, did you submit a request online? Did they reply via email and did you have to submit a permission form to them? It just looks like it went really fast for you guys and we haven't heard anything from the NVC, the consulate or the congressman's office. I'm wondering if I need to call them. 😕

Interested in the answer to this. Some go so well and fast. And yet we still wait. I don't know what the difference is but I sure want to know how to salve it.

I think you should, I have been trying for the past few weeks to get a in touch with the senators office but also no luck, just on the phone no emails or enquiry forms have been sent. No one seems to answer or you get put on hold for a really long time.We have applied for an expedite on the 20th July, this is when the pack was sent and we still have not heard anything back.

We had to fill out a form online as well as a form giving them permission to look into our case. It took about two weeks to hear back from them. Did you make contact with them yet?

I did contact them on Friday and I heard back on Monday morning. I submitted the permission form Tuesday morning and since then it has been silent.

I did, however, get an email from the NVC this morning saying our request is under review, but I think that it takes them a long time to even look at it.

We have a immigration liaison from representatives offices inquiring for us now and the embassy tells him the same thing they tell us. That it is in a pile and they will get to it when they get to it even though the case is mission critical. They even update the case status on line when someone emails them but leaves it in the same state. The liaison is going to keep inquiring for us. It is a blessing to have someones help after all this time. The embassy said this month. We will see.
