No surprise here. They have always been a bunch of Perrier sipping, Birkenstock wearing, tree hugging, anti american hippies. I wonder if someone is going to tell them that many chicks consider the phrase chick offensive

Imagine still being butthurt because they opposed Bush and his war, years after they were proven right.
Their new music sounds pretty good, that's all that matters.

Personally, I don’t really care for their music, but that is more of a personal taste thing.  As to their name, they can do what they want.  Lastly, related to Bush’s war, I actually agree with them, and this is one of the big reasons I like Trump, he won’t get us into needless foreign wars like Bush did, and most likely what Biden will do.

Music is definitely very personal. I just don't get the hate they still get. There were other artists, even within the same genre, that also spoke out against the war, but no one really went after Willie Nelson or Kris Kristofferson.

I think it was because of how that said it, and the fact they did it overseas.  They have the right, it tanked their careers but our right to not listen to their music is our right.

Jane Fonda is a good example.  Nobody holds any animosity toward Vietnam war protesters. in retrospect they were right for the most part.

My beef is she committed treason and caused our POWs harm . Her sitting on the AA gun and acting as if she would celebrate our boys being shot down is unforgivable.  I will never forgive her for that and she has never given a sincere apology. I use to have a hat that read, " I will forgive Jane Fonda when the Jews forgive Hitler"  i have mellowed since then.

Not saying what the Dixie Chicks did was nearly as bad.

The Dixie Chicks genuinely despised a bad person -- Bush. Anyone that didn't like the cost (in lives/money) of unjust wars had every reason to hate Bush and co for Iraq+bailing on OBL.

Fonda otoh.. could've step on a land mine and I'd be happy. She didn't deserve a lifetime of protection, thanks to service members, living a free and happy life while working with the enemy.

You should research this false claim further.  Most of what is claimed is not true.

Even she had to apologize years later for that gun picture…” True. Fonda said that while she may have been tricked into taking the picture, “The buck stops here. If I was used, I allowed it to happen. It was my mistake and I have paid and continue to pay a heavy price for it.”

She called our POWs hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as understandable. True. She said in a 1973 interview elaborating on the “hypocrites and liars” statement that it would be “understandable” for the North Vietnamese to torture POWs who tried to escape.

isWe were Jane Fonda’s "war criminals."   When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with Jane Fonda.  I said yes, for I would like to tell her about the real treatment we POWs were receiving, which was far different from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by Jane Fonda, as "humane and lenient."

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees with outstretched arms with a piece of steel rebar placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane every time my arms dipped.  Jane Fonda had the audacity to say that the POWs were lying about our torture and treatment.

No mention of Jane by Mike.  Did you watch the video I posted?  If the guy who allegedly passed her a note says he never passed her a note...

The guy in the videos name is Jerry and has nothing to with Michael Benges story about being braten for refusing to meet with Jane Fonda.

Jerry Driscoll is the guy who allegedly slipped Jane the names (in at least one incantation of evil), and was allegedly beaten and lost an eye.  Yet the video above proves all of that to be false.

Quote

The facts are that while in North Vietnam, Fonda met with only a single group of seven U.S POWs: all seven of those POWs agreed to meet with her, no POWs were tortured for declining to meet with her (or for behaving inappropriately during the meeting), and no POWs secretly slipped Fonda messages which she turned over to the North Vietnamese. The persons named in inflammatory claims about this alleged incident have repeatedly and categorically denied the events they supposedly were part of.

Quote

LOS ANGELES, April 6 [1973] (AP) —Jane Fonda, the antiwar activist, said today that she believes some American prisoners of war were tortured in North Vietnam but — it probably was not widespread nor was it a general policy.

“I'm quite sure that there were incidents of torture,” the actress said. “I think probably some of these professional pilots were probably beaten to death by the people whose homes and families they were bombing nad napalming. But the pilots who are saying it was the policy of the Vietnamese and that it was systematic, I believe that that's a lie.”

Miss Fonda, interviewed on KNBC‐TV here, has been widely criticized for an earlier remark that she thought the returning prisoners who said they had been tortured were “hypocrites and liars.” She elaborated on her beliefs in the interview.

“These men were bombing and strafing and napalming the country,” she said. “If a prisoner tried to escape, it is quite understandable that he would probably be beaten and tortured.”

I know her name leaves a bad taste in the mouths of many servicemen today, my father among them.  I grew up being taught to hate her.  Now, I question the accuracy of the stories, and the reason behind the hatred.  We may never know, unfortunately.

The only thing I claimed was she poised on an anti aircraft gun and her visit caused our pows harm. Both are 100% true and verified. Michael Benges story is 100% true. Just because you googled up one claim that turned out to be fake, has zero to do with my orginal statment.
