Good day! Im starting to fill up my n-400 and on the part of information about parents, A. Current legal name of U.S. Citizen mother / Father. Both my parents are not US citizen. Question is should I still put the names of my parents on it or just put N/A? Thank you for all the replied. Its just confusing.

It wouldn’t be confusing at all after reading the instructions.


If you are filing it online:
From the first section on the first page of the instructions:

 

If either of your parents is a United States citizen, complete Part 6. Information About Your Parents as part of this application. If neither of your parents is a United States citizen, skip Part 6. and complete Part 7. Biographical Information.

 

If you are filing the form itself, the form literally says

 

Part 6. Information About Your Parents
If neither one of your parents is a United States citizen, then skip this part and go to Part 7.

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID
