Good luck reuniting with your partners on these trips!

As for us, our plan was for me to go to Turkey on 15 September and then onto Krakow when able (after 2 weeks quarantine or sooner if tested negative).  Sadly today I learned that Hungary is closing their borders to all foreigners.  Similarly there are some new restrictions for Croatia to Poland beginning in September.  Those were the only 2 ideas I had for getting to Krakow.

And that's not to mention that the US Embassy site says that US Citizens are strictly not allowed to enter Poland at all (unless fitting into one of the exemptions, which I do not).  Obviously some American's have gone into Poland in recent weeks without meeting the exemptions, and the border guards in some cases didn't stop them (in other cases they didn't have to talk to a border guard as they came into Poland from a schengen country.

So...I need a Plan C...anyone got any ideas...

Its been 3 months apart as of today...we have been together for 7+ years and the longest prior time apart was 5 weeks...and we had lived together full-time the past 2 years before having to split up due to covid and these restrictions...need to see each other soon...

Is there any chances your fiancé can go to the US? She would have to go to Turkey or Croatia for 2 weeks and then she can enter. I met few people who made it this way well.
Not sure what Hungary closing changes but you can try to also go to Croatia and then to Poland. For now- the flights are still going it is just not adviced and It is not on a banned list.

please check IATA website

Thanks for the reply.  She has work and needs to stay in Poland (she can't be away from work for the 2 weeks in Mexico and then the time to spend with me in the USA).  So she won't come to the USA until we get her K-1...

I am retired and have plenty of free time, so it makes more sense for me to go to see her while we wait for the K-1.

I’m sure it is possible.

did you try to join the group on Fb ‘couples separated by travel ban’?

there are many Americans traveling to Europe too. I’m already with my fiancé and planning our little ceremony.

my advice would be- don’t waste time because I’ve heard some embassy workers telling someone that lifting the travel ban might not happen soon. There are plenty of ways to get to your fiancé and I’m sure you’ll succeed 💪🏻

airplanes are packed with people. I wish you to find your way how to travel to your fiancé 💕

Our K-1 was sent from NVC to the Warsaw embassy yesterday (or at least we got an email yesterday, but the text says that it could take weeks to arrive in Warsaw).  I suspect other's here have gotten the same news, but wanted to post this in case some hadn't heard that things are moving again.  Now we shall see if Warsaw actually processes the cases and schedules interviews...

Slightly off topic but is there anyone here who recently had their CR1/IR1 interview? Just wondering what's the Warsaw embassy's backlog and the current interview waiting time.

PS. Hopefully soon all this lockdown situation will ease out.

Hi! Maybe it’s late response but we have our interview at 19th of October in Warsaw. What about you? Maybe you had already? I would like to know how it was.

Hi! Yes, I had my interview a few weeks ago and it went very well. Everything ran quite smoothly and people working at the embassy were very nice. The interview itself with the consular officer was more like a casual chat rather than questioning. Just make sure you have the documents as listed here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/WRW-Warsaw.html. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Best of luck tomorrow!

Has anyone made any progress? I saw where the Polish embassy is now specifically stating on their website that they're not currently processing K1 (or diversity) visas. I'm just having another of those moments where I feel like this will never be resolved...

Some Polish Plaintiffs in the Milligan v Pompeo lawsuit received interview dates at the Warsaw Embassy last week.
