Good day everyone! I was recently notified of a potential interview after my RFE was reviewed in St Albans. Does anyone know how much time they give you to prepare for your interview at your local office or even if the local office can approve the petition even though it already went through NBC in Missouri? Thanks for any information

Depends on the workload in your local field office. Your interview could happen in a month or in several months.

NBC just initiated some behind the scenes requirement. The local office will approve or deny you depending upon the interview.

Do you know if local offices can approve prior to interview? I thought I saw one previous post on here that it happened to someone. Thanks!

They may if they see sufficient info they want to see in your submitted package and if they don’t wanna take risk being near you.

i have a similar situation:

filed july 2019  - rfe may 2020 -  june 2020 case transferred from vermont to NBC - July 2020 case ready for an interview. I'm in NYC.

Also hoping for the interview to be waived, as I really think that we submitted more than enough evidence, both times.

Wondering if the case will move from NBC to local office or how does that work... 😕 ?

Please keep us updated what happens with your case.

Good luck

I’m in the same situation. Filed October 2019, case ready for interview June 2020. I doubt your interview will be waived that is why your case is ready for interview instead of card in production which is the status you receive if your case was approved without interview.

I've read situation where they change to 'interview' and then to ---》》 approved,  without scheduling a date for the interview.  I know,  it's weird.

Can anyone confirm that this has happened to some people???? 🙄

Hi, did you have your interview yet? Or has it been over a year of waiting? Thanks!
